              BioZest-2019




             New  Delhi  (03.06.2019)  SAU  FLSB  News:  FLSB  organized  its  3rd  Annual  International  Science  Event  -
             ‘BioZest’ with the timely theme of ‘Green Science’. BioZest-2019 provided a wonderful platform for
             students and young researchers of all SAARC countries to display their scientific knowledge through oral
             and poster presentations along with theme-related competitive games. Prof. Shibnath Mazumder, Dr.
             Priti Saxena, and Dr. AKR Gobinath organized the event with the coordination of students of FLSB. Dr. AVS
             Ramesh Chandra, President, SAU was the chief patron at BioZest-2019. Renowned academician Professor
             Goutam Ghosh (Vice Chancellor, Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology University, Odisha),
             eminent scientists Dr. Rita Banerjee (Science Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and
             Technology, India) and Dr. Suneel Pandey (Director, Environment & Waste Management, The Energy and
             Resources Institute, Delhi), and India’s leading career counselor Ms. Pervin Malhotra (CARING, Delhi)
             were the invited keynote speakers. Dr. Ramesh Chandra said in the inaugural address that BioZest-2019
             event expands and deepens SAU's cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology (India),
             and also it motivates and encourages the young minds of the South Asian region to hone their S & T skills,
             and  helps  them  to  explore  and  share  their  scientific  knowledge  and  expertise.  Professor  Ghosh
             enlightened  the  students  about  industrial  scale  production  of  potential  vaccines,  and  Dr.  Pandey
             highlighted  the  importance  of  developing  green  technology  in  India  and  other  Asian  countries.  Dr.
             Banerjee clarified the policies of DST, SERB (India) and the funding opportunities available to research
