International Mother Language Day Celebration

SAU News (21.02.2020) New Delhi: Like every year, the International Mother Language Day was observed
in SAU on 21 February 2020. This year's unique feature was the poster-making competition on the theme
of language and speech. An exclusive t-shirt made for this occasion was designed to commemorate the
language martyrs and to
celebrate the languages of
the SAARC countries. On
the midnight of 20
February,studentsoffered
floral tribute to an
installation of the Shaheed
Minar, remembering the
contributions of language
martyrs. On the evening of
21 February 2020, cultural
events took place where
SAU students performed
songs, poetry and dance
representing their own
languagesandcultures.

NewYear'sHighTea
SAU News (04.01.2020) New Delhi: To ring in the New Year, the
Acting President, SAU, hosted the faculty and staff members
to a high tea at the Akbar Bhawan Campus. There were a few
impromptu performances of songs and poems by the faculty
andstaff.

e-BikeLaunch
SAU News (24.02.2020) New Delhi: To
facilitate first mile and last mile
connectivities for students, staff and
faculty members in an environmentally
friendly way, an e-bike service was
launched by Dr. AVS Ramesh Chandra,
Acting President, SAU at the Akbar
Bhawan campus of the SAU. The battery
operated e-bikes can be accessed through
a mobile app and can be used to commute
to nearby metro stations, where docks are
provided.
