GenderSensitisationProgrammes
The SAU Gender Sensitization Committee (GSC) organized a gender pledge signature campaign in the
Akbar Bhawan campus, inviting people to commit to Gender Equality in all their endeavors. Those who
took the pledge were provided gender badges to wear with pride. The campaign, carried out under the
guidance of Prof. Deepa Sinha, Chair SAU GSC, was part of a move to make the gender sensitization
program more participatory and to inculcate a feeling of responsibility among members of SAU
community. The GSC, along with the University Complaint Committee (UCC), also organized a street play,
Dastak ,whichwasperformedbySukhmanchTheatreon3March2020atthecampus.Theplayattempted
to create awareness on the increasing incidents of crime against women in our countries at home,
workplaceandpublicspaces.TheplaywasdirectedbyShilpiMarwaha.
