Group II of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in Faro, Portugal, from 26th January to 1

Soumita Basu, Assistant Professor, Department of International Relations, FSS, has joined the editorial
board of the Review of International Studies (Cambridge University Press), a journal of the British
InternationalStudiesAssociation.
Sai Ramani Garimella, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Legal Studies, has been co-awarded a funding grant
by the India Development Fund-University of Sydney, Australia for the year 2020-2021 for the project
"Open Banking in a Fragmented Data World: The Complexity of Jurisdiction" (Co-awarded with Prof.
JeanneHueng,UniversityofSydney).

Chaitanya Talreja, PhD Scholar, Faculty of Economics, was awarded the D.R. Gadgil Memorial Best paper
Award for his research paper, titled “Structural Change in the Indian Manufacturing: An Analysis of
Technological Structure and Economic Development”, at the D.R. Gadgil Memorial Paper Presentation

Surbhi Kesar, PhD Scholar, Faculty of Economics, was a co-organizer of the Institute for New Economic
Thinking (INET) - Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) workshop, titled “Pluralistic Teaching in Economics”, at
the International Confederation of Associations for Pluralism in Economics (ICAPE) Conference 2020,
held on 5-6 January 2020, at the University of San Diego, USA. She was also a panelist in the round-table
discussion, titled “Diversity in Heterodox Economics: Radical Solution for an Old Problem”, at the ICAPE
conference.HertravelandstaywasfundedbytheINET-YSI.
