Dhaka (14-15.12.2018) FMCS News: International Joint Conference on Computational Intelligence (IJCCI
2018) was organized by South Asian University (SAU), India, Daffodil International University(DIU) and
Jahangirnagar University (JU), Bangladesh. The conference was held at Daffodil International University
(DIU) during 14-15 December 2018. Dr. Jagdish Chand Bansal and Dr. Q M Danish Lohani from SAU, Prof.
Syed Akhter Hossain from DIU and Prof. Mohammad Shorif Uddin from JU worked as the convenors of
this conference. A total of 182 papers from 496 authors (459 from Bangladesh 37 from 9 countries of the
world)weresubmitted.Atotalof63paperswerefinallyaccepted.Acceptedpaperswerebeingpublished
by Springer in its book series: Algorithms for Intelligent Systems (AIS). There were 4 keynote speeches by
the distinguished researchers. These speeches were well appreciated by all participants. This conference
created a unique opportunity for developing cooperation for research-, academic- and development-
activitiesamongresearchersandpractitioners.
