She has completed her Doctoral work from the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi in Industrial Organization, with particular focus on standardization in network industries. Additionally, she has worked in some areas of government policy such as fiscal policy (as an Economist at the National Institute of Public Finance and policy) and competition policy and regulation ( as an Expert in the Economics Division at the Competition Commission of India).
She has earlier taught graduate-level courses in industrial organisation and the theory of finance at the Teri University, New Delhi. She has also taught introductory finance to graduate classes at the Centre for International Trade and Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her research interests are in applied microeconomics, industrial organization and the economics of competition law.
