Issues of Sexual Harrasment

1. Gender Sensitization Committee

The President, SAU has constituted the following Gender Sensitization Commitee (GSC) under clause 4 of the Byelaws on Rules Governing issues of Sexual Harassment (Notification No.: SAU/GSC-01-November-2022):

The GSC shall be the competent body to propose the University’s policy and guidelines relating to the prevention of sexual harassment cases and other acts of gender discrimination in accordance with the revised byelaws.

2. University Complaints Committee

The President, SAU has constituted the following University Complaints Committee (UCC) under Rule 4.2(2) of the Revised Byelaws governing issues of sexual harassment (Notification – Reconstitution of UCC):

The UCC shall be the competent body to inquire into and address all complaints of sexual harassment in the first instance as per the revised byelaws. All complaints of sexual harassment shall be made to the Chairperson UCC or to any other member of UCC. If the complaint is made to any member of UCC (i.e., other than the Chairperson, UCC) or, for that matter, to any other member of the University, the concerned member shall immediately refer the matter and all related material, if any, to the Chairperson of the UCC.
