I am currently coordinating the academic administration of the Department while teaching courses to MA and Ph.D students. My courses are experimental in disposition and they envisage students’ intellectual courage for exploring new sources, thematic aspects, and imaginative academics on the whole. My own researches are geared to serve the same as expected from the students. I am currently working on the philosophy of social sciences in curating methodological perspectives in addition to my decade long engagement with the interface of literature and folklore in Mithila. I imagine mine and my students’ academic endeavours to transcend the national boundaries in research, scholarship and writings. I humbly advocate advancement of scholarship with due sensibility and responsibility towards society.
The researches conducted by the young scholars under my supervision are aimed at the societal meaning making process in mediated and visual communication, language, popular culture, and rite of the passage.
Besides, I am one of the editors of Society and Culture in South Asia (the journal of Department co-published with Sage, India).
