Performance Modeling & Simulation Lab (PMSL)
Welcome to PMSL!!
Our Lab aims on performance modeling and simulation of computer systems, specifically focusing on modern computer communication networks such as Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, Blockchain and Web 3.
The goal of any computer system is to provide the highest performance i.e. quality of service at the lowest cost. Therefore, the performance evaluation and modelling of computer systems is essential and important for their design, manufacturing, sale/purchase, use, upgrade etc. Thus, many diverse systems such as processors, operating systems, networks, knowledge-based systems, intelligent systemsand databases are all subjects of investigation. However, current work in lab is towards
- Building appropriate traffic models for performance analysis of IoT network
- Designing probabilistic models for identification of attacks in IoT while preserving data privacy
- Developing analytical traffic models for 5G communication network
- Performance analysis of blockchain network
- Constructing analytical models for software cost estimation
- Performance evaluation and development of various federated machine learning algorithms
