South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi, in collaboration with the Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies (ICPS), New Delhi, is pleased to invite applications for a Credit-Based Certificate Course titled:
“From Text to Transformation: Gender Justice in the Indian Constitution”
23–27 March 2026
Mode: Hybrid (Offline sessions hosted at South Asian University, New Delhi)
Duration: 5 Days | 30 Hours | 2 Academic Credits
This intensive academic programme examines how constitutional ideals of equality, dignity, and justice translate into transformative social change. Through an interdisciplinary lens, the course will critically engage with the evolving discourse on gender justice within India’s constitutional framework, combining doctrinal analysis with contemporary legal and policy debates.
Programme Highlights
Constitutional foundations and evolving jurisprudence on gender justice
A dedicated module on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) and institutional compliance mechanisms
Emerging intersections between Gender and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Engagement with feminist legal theory, intersectionality, and constitutional interpretation
Examination of the historical exclusion of women and gender-diverse persons from constitutional processes and governance
Critical discussions on landmark constitutional cases, legislative developments, and contemporary debates
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from eminent academicians, distinguished legal practitioners, senior government officials, and former judges, offering a rich blend of theoretical insight and practical perspectives.
