About Research and Development (R&D)
The President, SAU, in the exercise of power vested in him had established a “Research and Development (R&D) Cell during 2023 to support the faculty members for the smooth operation of Sponsored Research and Consultancy Projects and also to facilitate other research and development activities in South Asian University at Maidan Garhi Campus, New Delhi. The basic role of the R&D is to embrace a central role towards enhancing and promoting the R&D profile of the University.
The various activities of R&D are:
- Facilitate the allocation and usage of the faculty RRG as per the relevant Bye-Law.
- Facilitate the applications for/and execution of research projects and consultancy by faculty members.
- Look after the Organization of conference, seminars, workshops and such other events by faculty member.
- Look after all IPR-related matters.
- Facilitate the looking after and usage of incubator centres.
- Facilitate the signing and execution of Memoranda of Understanding/Collaborations.
- Maintain a centralized database of faculty, staff and student achievements, such as research outcomes, for Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and SAU ranking.
- Facilitate the appointments and working of Post-Doctoral and Research Fellows.
- Manage any other related matters.
