Revised Notification Regarding Hostel Accommodation

Deadline for registration for hostel accommodation as mentioned in the notification dated 30 July 2021 below has been extended up to 15 September 2021.

  • Registration for the Hostel accommodation to the limited 3rd semester, 2020 batch Master students is starting from 2nd of August 2021 which will be up to 31 August 2021.
    • It is open for all the non-Indian students. The bonafide certificates are being issued to the non-Indian students in order to get them the necessary visas. The request of issuance of visas has already been communicated to all the Indian embassies.
    • It is also open for all the eligible FLSB and Computer Science students who have lab requirements, as per Hostel rules.
  • PhD students registered in 2020, who have an issue with the ongoing online classes and/or other academic requirements, they may apply for the hostel and must compulsorily seek the approval of their supervisor and dean, dean of students, President before they come to join the hostel.

Hostel accommodation will only be allowed on furnishing a Covid 19 negative RTPCR certificate done not earlier than 72 hours before arrival at SAU as mentioned in the SOP.

Vaccination is recommended for the students who is wanting to stay in the Hostel. The students should send covid-negative certificates and covid vaccination certificates to obtain the permission. They will be permitted in the hostel based on the following SOP with respect to the vaccination:

  1. Students who are not vaccinated:
    a) A negative RT PCR report.
    b)14 days quarantined in SAU hostel.
    c) Registering for vaccination in India for first dose within
    10 days of arrival.
  2. Students who are vaccinated only one dose:
    a) A negative RT PCR report.
    b)7 days quarantine in SAU hostelc) Registering for second dose of vaccination in India .
    d) submitting vaccination certificate of first dose taken.
  3. Students who are vaccinated with both doses:
    a) A negative RT PCR report.
    b) 7 days quarantined in SAU hostel
    c) submitting vaccination certificates of both doses taken. They should
    send this certificate along with the covid-negative certificate.
  4. Students from outside India where only one vaccine is recommended:
    a) A negative RT PCR report.
    b)7 days quarantine in SAU hostel
    c) submitting vaccination certificate of vaccine taken.

Students must follow the Covid-related SOPs that are regularly posted by the admin.

Students are hereby informed that Covid19 pandemic conditions still continue and therefore SAU administration still does not recommend students coming to the hostel. Online classes are still continuing. Students coming to SAU and staying at the hostel would be doing so at their own risk.
