Quantum Computing and its Applications in Recent Domains

1st – 6th September 2025

About the Programme

The objective of the Faculty Development Program (FDP) in Quantum Computing and its applications in related domain is to equip educators and researchers with a comprehensive understanding of quantum theory, quantum algorithms, and quantum programming. It aims to foster interdisciplinary knowledge, enhance teaching and research capabilities, and promote academic collaboration in cutting-edge technologies. The program provides hands-on training in quantum simulation tools and platforms, enabling participants to integrate emerging quantum technologies into curricula and research. By building a strong foundation in quantum computing, the FDP supports the development of a skilled academic workforce capable of contributing to future innovations in science and technology.

About the Resource Persons

The program is enriched by the participation of esteemed academicians from premier institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology(IITs), Industry Professionals from IBM, Mindtree, etc, and leading scientists in the field from DRDO.

About South Asian University

South Asian University (SAU) is an international university established by the eight member nations of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC)—India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and the Maldives. Headquartered in New Delhi, India, it was founded in 2010 to foster regional cooperation through education and research.

About the Centre

Centre of Quantum Computing Policy Research and Capacity Building (QCPRCBC) is establish in year 2025 with the vision of establishing quantum facilities in SAU . Goal is to make India a self-reliant quantum superpower by 2035 and a global exporter of quantum technologies. This initiative is achieved by executing development program starting from faculty developing program to M.Tech in Quantum Computing and many more.
