
Dr. Ankit Jain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at South Asian University New Delhi. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, an M.Tech. from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, and a B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering from RGPV Bhopal.
His doctoral research focused on privacy-preserving indoor monitoring using vision sensors, integrating deep learning, computer vision, and privacy-aware sensors to develop intelligent systems for applications such as fire detection and human activity recognition in assisted living environments. Earlier, during his master’s studies, he worked on intrusion detection systems in digital forensics.
Dr. Jain has published in leading venues including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence, and the Journal of Electronic Imaging (SPIE). With more than a decade of teaching and research experience at institutions such as IIT Indore, NIT Rourkela, LNMIIT Jaipur, Symbiosis University Indore, and NMIMS University Shirpur, he has also actively contributed to organizing national and international conferences in AI, data science, and ICT. He regularly participates in faculty development programs (FDPs) and short-term training programs (STTPs) as both a resource person and participant, and serves as a reviewer for reputed journals and conferences.
