
Dr. Shyamli Singh is an Associate Professor at the Centre
for Climate Change and Sustainability, South Asian University, New Delhi. Prior
to this, she served as Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Public
Administration (IIPA), where she coordinated the Centre for Environment and
Climate Change. Dr. Singh holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Management and is
UGC-NET qualified in Environmental Science. She is a gold medallist from Guru
Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. She is a topper in B.Sc. (Gr.B)
programme from the University of Delhi.
She is a Young Scientist by the Integrated Research on
Disaster Risk (IRDR), Beijing, and has extensive experience in research,
teaching, and consultancy. She has served as principal investigator for several
prestigious projects and holds life memberships in various national and
international academic bodies.
Dr. Singh has authored textbooks, monographs, scholarly
articles, and discussion papers. She has served as visiting faculty at several
Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). She is on academic panels of
universities such as Delhi Technological University and Guru Gobind Singh
Indraprastha University. She is also an empanelled unit writer for IGNOU for
its courses in Environment and Disaster Management.
She pioneered the development of blended learning
capacity-building programmes under a DST-sponsored project on “Climate Smart
Governance.” Her ongoing research engages with various dimensions of climate
change and Sustainability studies.
Dr. Singh was conferred the Academic Award of Excellence by the
Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, in 2022. She is a
recipient of the Exemplary Performance Award from the Vice President of India,
Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, in 2019. She features on Sansad TV, addressing
critical environmental and climate-related issues.
Her online course titled Climate Resilient Technologies,
hosted on the iGOT platform under Mission Karmayogi, is among the top-ranked
offerings.
