Dr. Trapti aggarwal is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Chemical Sciences at South Asian University (An international university established by SAARC nations), New Delhi, India. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in the synthesis of heterocyclic molecules through iodocyclization from Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi. She worked as women postdoctoral fellow in Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi (2018-2022). Prior to women fellowship, she conducted postdoctoral fellowship in Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan (2017-2018) on fluorine chemistry.
Her research work focused on the synthesis of heterocyclic molecules through novel environment friendly synthetic strategies. In her Ph.D., she has designed the green protocol for the organic functional group transformation which has vide versatility. She has published 22 articles in leading international journals and actively presents her work at scientific conferences in India and abroad.
She has been awarded first prize for Ph.D. thesis by National Organic Symposium Trust (NOST) for Outstanding Thesis Award. She has attended the 63rd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Germany from 30th June- 5July 2013 through the grant awarded by Department of Science and Technology (Government of India).
