Before joining the South Asian University in January 2014, She was a faculty member at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai. Her academic interest is in understanding the impact of inequality on the welfare of the poor. She has taught a variety of graduate courses including Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Industrial Organisation, Time series, etc.
