Profile

Dr. Kavita Khanna has teaching, research and administrative experience of more than 25 years. She received her PhD degree from University School of Information and Communication Technology, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. Her areas of interest include Artificial Neural Networks, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Soft Computing Techniques. She has more than 70 publications in reputed Journals, Books and Conferences. She has guided five PhD and twenty MTech and students in their research work. She has completed various research projects and multiple consultancy assignments with various Government organisations including Department of Science and Technology, National Technical Research Organization and National Commission for Women.

She has been into various leadership positions throughout her career and have touched the life of students, faculty and has been instrumental in establishing new programs and departments. Prior to her current role she has been the Campus Director at Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University, Dwarka Campus. 

Apart from her academic achievements she has pursued her passion for music and people while working as a Radio Jockey with AIR FM Gold for more than 16 years. Her articles on upcoming technologies and teaching pedagogies have been published with leading newspapers and magazines.
