South Asian University will host a closed-door, invitation-only Roundtable on “Riverine Communities – Climate Vulnerability – Environmental Justice: Towards Inclusive River Basin Governance in the GBM Basin” on 15 May 2026 (10:25 AM–1:30 PM).

The roundtable will bring together experts and practitioners from academia, civil society, and regional organizations to discuss how riverine communities can be better integrated into governance frameworks for the Ganga-Brahmaputra-Meghna Basin.

The programme includes a keynote address by Prof. K. K. Aggarwal, President, South Asian University, and a plenary session featuring Prof. Mahendra P. Lama, Senior Advisor ICIMOD.

This event is organised by the Interdisciplinary Centre of Excellence on Climate Change, Green Transition and Sustainability, South Asian University, in collaboration with TROSA, Global Water Partnership South Asia, The Green Trial Law Group, and Oxfam, with support from Sweden.
