
Dr. Anmol Mukhia is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of International Studies, South Asian University, New Delhi. He holds a PhD in International Relations from Jilin University, China, supported by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Government of India) and the Chinese Government Scholarship. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism at the Higher School of Economics (HSE) University, Moscow, Russian Federation. He is also a Lead Guest Editor of a Special Issue of Bandung: Journal of Global South (SCOPUS/Q1) on “The Greater Himalayas, ASEAN-in-Indo-Pacific and the Global South: Mountain-Riverine Geopolitics, Cross-Regional Ecologies, and Planetary Epistemologies” with Prof. Baiq Wardhani (Professor, Airlangga University, Surabaya), Dr Vinsensio Dugis (Director, Centre for ASEAN Studies, Indonesia), & Dr Pak Nung Wong (Editor-in-Chief & Professor, University of Bath, United Kingdom).
Dr. Mukhia is also a Visiting
Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at
the University of Hong Kong. Previously, he has taught at Christ University
(Bangalore), Rashtriya Raksha University (Ministry of Home Affairs, Gujarat),
Sikkim Manipal University (Sikkim) and Sikkim University (Sikkim). He is the
recipient of the Global South Fellowship (2025) from the University of Hong
Kong, Hong Kong; the GP Deshpande Award (2023) from the Institute of Chinese
Studies, New Delhi; Advanced Training Program
for Young Diplomatic Talents (2019) from Fudan
University, Shanghai; Young Researcher of China and Abroad (2019) at
Sichuan University, Sichuan; Taiwan Study Camp for Future Leaders from South Asia (2013) from the Institute of
Diplomacy and International Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taiwan.
He has published widely in
prestigious academic journals indexed by SSCI, A&HCI, and SCI,
