Dr. Satya, an alumnus of IISc, has over 45 years of experience in policy,
technology, regulation, operations, and academics at national and international levels. Out of this, 25 years have been with the Government of India.

He has dual masters from IIT Delhi (Quantum Physics, semiconductors, optoelectronics, fibers) and is a veteran in the Semiconductors & Telecommunication sectors, especially Technology Strategy and Policy domains. He has served for over 35 years at top level as India Head ST Microelectronics, MD South Asia AT&T, Director FLAG Submarine Cable, Director Mobile Alcatel. He played a key role in establishing IC Design in India and in policy formulation for submarine cable bandwidth, working with key policy makers and influencers. He represented the Digital Divide Task Force of the World Economic Forum. He is a prolific speaker and writer with his latest book “Quantum Computing Disentangled” written for SAU FDP programs. He is also on the Quantum Editorial Board of C-DAC.

An internationally recognized Internet infrastructure and cybersecurity expert with over 30 years of experience in IPv6, DNS, IoT security, digital accessibility, Artificial Intelligence, and emerging technologies. An Internet Hall of Fame 2024 inductee, he has served in key leadership roles with ISOC, ICANN, NIXI, and Government of India initiatives. He currently contributes to research and capacity building in Quantum Technologies, AI, and secure digital infrastructure. Dr. Misra is widely known for his work in global Internet governance, accessibility advocacy, and next-generation technology ecosystems.

Currently an Associate Professor in Dept. of Quantum AI at VIT Vellore with a wide experience in Quantum Technologies. His areas of interest include Quantum Learning Theory, Quantum Safe communication and Open Quantum Systems.
