The Ground Breaking Ceremony of SAU Campus in Maidan Garhi got good media coverage. National dailies including The Hindu, The New Indian Express, The Statesman, The Economic Times and Business Standard carried the story as did many regional papers. Many news and web portals also carried the news. News agencies – PTI, ANI and IANS filed and circulated the news and many publications picked up the story including publications in other countries such as Prothom Alo, Dhaka Tibune and BD24.

On the Social Media sphere, the university updated the event moments as they happened. MEA, India also featured the story on its home page, with link to the Remarks made by EAM. Mr. Vikas Swarup, JS XP also tweeted about the event with many ‘favourites’ and ‘retweets.’
