FLSB, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science, FMCS, is organizing a two-day workshop on “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE/MACHINE LEARNING (AI/ML) APPROACH FOR NEURODEGENERATIVE DISORDERS – From Algorithm to Diagnosis” between April 11-12, 2025.
International Workshop on Mammalian Cell Culture, Transfection and Gene Expression Analysis: The Faculty of Life Sciences and Biotechnology announces a four-day International Workshop on “Mammalian Cell Culture, Transfection and Gene Expression Analysis” from December 16-19, 2024 at South Asian University, Rajpur Road, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi. Expression of genes in an in vitro mammalian system is an important tool in modern biomedical research. In this four-day workshop, participants will be given hands-on training in culturing mammalian cell-lines in vitro including cell counting, passaging, freezing, and thawing cells; perform transfection of a fluorescently-tagged vector, and check transfection efficiency through fluorescence microscopy and real time PCR. In addition, they will also perform cell viability assays using a multimode plate reader.
