FLSB organizes various conferences and workshops every year. A flagship conference of the FLSB is the “South Asian Biotechnology Conference (SABC)” which brings together scientists, students, industry leaders and policymakers from various areas of life sciences and biotechnology under one roof for an intensive networking and strengthening of regional collaborations in emerging areas. The first SABC started in 2015 at the Akbar Bhawan campus, followed by successive SABC events having been held at Dhaka, Bangladesh (2016); Kathmandu, Nepal (2017); Colombo, Sri Lanka (2018); New Delhi, India (2019); and Dhaka, Bangladesh (2023). The upcoming 7th SABC will once again be held at New Delhi in the permanent campus of SAU.

South Asian University is organising “APFRTV 2026″– Asia-Pacific Forum on RNA Therapeutics and Vaccines, scheduled on 27th, 28th, and 29th August 2026, in collaboration with Biobank India Foundation.
Theme: Technology-Driven RNA Vaccines: From Bench to Population Impact
The conference aims to bring together scientists, clinicians, industry experts, and public health professionals to discuss advances in RNA therapeutics and vaccines within the One Health framework.
A pre-conference workshop is planned on 27th August 2026, focusing on:
1. “From Viral RNA to Diagnosis: Hands-on RT-LAMP Workshop for Measles and Rubella Virus Detection”
2. “Cancer Vaccine and Breast Health Skills Workshop”
(Awareness & Hands-On Training – Supported by BBIF Cancer Care)
Additionally, a Cancer Awareness Marathon is proposed on the morning of 29th August 2026 with the support of BBIF Cancer Care to enhance community engagement and public awareness.

FLSB is also organizing an ‘Interdisciplinary Conference on Oncology‘ at SAU together with BioBank India Foundation Cancer Care (BBIFCC). This conference is designed to provide a dynamic platform for researchers, healthcare professionals, public health specialists, and experts from various disciplines to converge, collaborate, and share cutting-edge advancements in the field of oncology. This interdisciplinary approach aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of cancer research, treatment modalities, prevention, and supportive care strategies.
